Obituary

Jean Amico, age 96 passed away peacefully on June 14, 2020 in her residence at The Bridge at Hickory Woods in Antioch, TN. She was born in Passaic, New Jersey to the late Joseph and Ninfa "Martha" Salvaggio. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Sal; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Jean was a long time member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Palm Bay, Florida prior to moving to Tennessee in 2017.

Jean is survived by her sister Rose Kallas and husband Pete of Brentwood, California; son, Robert "Bob" Amico and wife Beverly, of St. Cloud, Florida; daughter Diane Amico and friend Angie Newsom of LaVergne, TN; grandchildren Robert "Bobby" Amico and wife Terry of Chapel Hill, NC, and Janeen and husband George Livings of Staten Island, NY; great-grandchildren Evan, Erik and Ella Amico of Chapel Hill, NC, and Alex and Jonah Livings of Staten Island, NY; several nieces and nephews in California, New Jersey and Florida.

Jean met her husband at Western Electric in NJ. They married June 17, 1945 and moved to Orlando Florida in 1957. She was a stay at home Mom, selling Tupperware and Venus Jewels until they moved to Palm Bay in 1970. She worked at Harris Corporation in the Printing Department until she retired.  She was a member of the Italian American Club, Red Hat Society and The Palm Bay Senior Center where she was a regular Bingo player.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday June 16, 2020 from 2pm to 4pm with Funeral Service at 4pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, TN. Following the service there will be a reception at The Hampton Inn and Suites in Smyrna, TN.
