Dr. Jay Werthmuller, DC, age 57 of Murfreesboro went home to be with the Lord April 26, 2017. He was a native of New Orleans and was the son of the late, 1st Lt. Lloyd Nicholas Werthmuller. Dr. Werthmuller was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was former owner of Chiropractic Care Center, and owner of Tri-City Injury Center in Florence AL. He was a member, and Treasurer of Stones River Car Club in Murfreesboro.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Werthmuller of Murfreesboro; brother, Tim Werthmuller, of Murfreesboro; sister, Heidi K. Phillips and husband Dr. Stephen T. Phillips of Alabama; niece; Abigail Phillips.

Funeral service will be 6PM Thursday at Northside Baptist Church  Rev. Jonathan Osterhaus will officiate. Graveside service will be 2PM Saturday at Salem Cemetery in Union City; TN. Visitation will be 3pm until 6PM Thursday at Northside Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church in memory of Dr. Werthmuller.
