Janie Palmer, age 84 of Smyrna, died Thursday, November 19, 2015. She was a native of Pulaski, TN and a daughter of the late Asa Moore and Elise Newton Cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband John Robert "Bud" Palmer and a brother, William Cook.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Palmer of Smyrna; brothers, Harold Cook of Antioch, and Kenneth Cook of Murfreesboro; sisters, Elizabeth Sullivan and Rubie Wheeler, both of Antioch.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Ron Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
