Janice M. Bryant, age 64 of LaVergne died Wednesday at her home surrounded by family. She was a native of Nashville and the daughter of the late Tommy and Janie Cole Richards. Mrs. Bryant is survived by her husband Jerry Phillips; two sons Tom Sweeney and his wife Joyce Newman of Hermitage and Tim Bryant and his wife Nicole Brown of Madison; a step-son Jamie Phillips of Dallas; two brothers Buddy "Tommy" Richards and Jimmy Wrye both of Florida; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her faithful companion Little Bitt the poodle and a host of other loving friends and family. A memorial gathering will be held at her home Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 11:00am until 2:00pm. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
