Janet Hampton Jones, age 67, of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 22, 2015. A long-time resident of Nashville, TN she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Virginia McAllister Hampton. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 6:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Ray Moss will officiate. A private burial will take place at a later date. Ms. Jones is survived by her children, Chris Jones and his wife Susan of Murfreesboro, TN and Ashley Bain and her husband Kevin of Brentwood, TN; brother, James Hampton Jr. and his wife Vickie of Holliston, Mass; and three grandchildren, Hallie McKenzie Bain, Gavin Reese Bain, and Riley Jill Bain. Ms. Jones was a member of New Vision Baptist Church and was a retired Director of National Accounts with Apex Moving + Storage. She attended Memphis State University and served as a flight attendant with United Airlines in the 1960's. Ms. Jones enjoyed her charity work, especially helping with the Cottage Cove Charity. She loved her church and friends and especially her grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
