JANET DARLENE SANDUSKY HICKLEN, age 61 of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010. She was a native of Toledo, OH and the daughter of the late Tillman T. and Geraldine R. Haupricht Sandusky, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Tillman, Jr. Funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Rev. Dr. Keith Duncan will officiate. Graveside service will be 1:00pm Saturday at Shaw Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, TN. She is survived by her husband, Gary Hicklen of Murfreesboro, daughters, Michele Duncan of Charlotte, NC, and Heather Mills of Murfreesboro, sister, Jacqueline Kamm of Mamuee, OH, grandsons, Jordan and Gavin Mills, Judah Duncan, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hicklen was a member of the Abiding Faith Lutheran Church. She was employed by Acklen Stamping, Toledo, OH, and later a Lube Technician for Yates Services at Nissan in Smyrna for 17 years before retiring in 2000. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and Shih Tzu, Gizmo. She was an avid reader, loved history, enjoyed nascar and football. She had great faith and solid resolve. Pallbearers will be Matthew Mills, Jr, Tillman Sandusky, III, Anthony Sandusky, Jeffrey, Mark, and Chad Kamm. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, and Abiding Faith Lutheran Church.
