James D "Duke" Ward, age 74, a long-time resident of McMinnville, TN passed away on Friday, November 8th at Community Care of Rutherford County in Murfreesboro. He was preceeded in death by his parents Frank and Hazel Ward, a brother Robert Ward, a daughter Lois Rhoring, and a grandson Colton Robertson. He is survived by his sister Frankie Overcash; children Lisa Korneta, Lora Ward, David Ward, Sherri Fuller, David Phillips and Deborah Churchill; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandson, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and devoted friends. May he rest in peace. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
