James Edward Victory, Sr. , age 70 of Smyrna, TN, passed away Saturday May 27, 2017. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Monroe Edward and Alta Jean Pittman Victory.  Mr. Victory was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Fay Victory Dale.

Mr. Victory is survived by his wife, Betty Potts Victory; son, James Edward Victory, Jr. of Christiana, TN; brother, Timothy Victory of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Vernell Victory Norris of Readyville, TN and Darlene McCullough Holt of Murfreesboro, TN; grandsons, James Quintin, and Jonathan Tyler Victory both of Hillsboro, TN.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Pastor Carlos Saddler officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
