James B. Vaughn, Sr., age 90 of Murfreesboro died Friday, December 5th, 2014 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was the son of the late, Sam and Claudia Pitts Vaughn and also proceeded in death by his wife Dorothy Williams Vaughn who died in 2008. Mr. Vaughn was a member of Central Christian Church and retired from the Alvin C. York Medical Center. He was a World War II Veteran having served in The U.S. Army. Visitation will be 11:00AM until 1:00PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel Graveside service will be 1:00PM Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors. He is survived by his son, Jimmy Vaughn, and wife Linda of Murfreesboro; brothers, Joe Vaughn of Grantville, Georgia; sister, Martha McAdoo of Cumming, Georgia, Dot Clancy and husband David of Murfreesboro, Nadine Jones of Navarre, Florida, Betty Vaughn of Murfreesboro and Alline Dye of Murfreesboro; grandson, Brian Vaughn and wife Stacy of Jackson; grandchildren, Emma Kate and Mason Hays Vaughn.
