James Robert Mitchell, age 75 of Donelson passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. He was a native of Cannon County and the son of the late Robert Lincoln and Ethel Marie Duke Mitchell.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm Friday, July 14, 2017 at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Greg Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Mankin Mitchell, son, Jimmy Mitchell of Donelson, daughter, Lorie Grizzle of Readyville, brothers, Austin P. Duke and Kenneth Mitchell, both of McMinnville.

Mr. Mitchell was retired from Rudy's Farm and the Tennessee School for the Blind maintenance department.
