James Edward Pike age 83 of Murfreesboro died April 10, 2011. Mr. Pike was a native of Wilson county and son of the late Henry and Stella Spears Pike. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dave Bauder will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Pike is survived by his wife of 62 years Annetta Ressler Pike; two sons James Forrest Pike of Hawaii; Jeff Todd Pike and his wife Robyn of Murfreesboro; daughters Sherry Pike Glenn and her husband Henry E. of Birmingham, AL; Karen Pike Cox and her husband Dennis of Readyville; brothers Rev. Henry Randall Pike of Greenville, SC; Harold Dean Pike of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren Aaron E. Glenn, Jill Glenn Bensinger, Lucas Grant James Pike, Natalie Joelle Pike; and two great-grandchildren Sue Ellen and Nathan Bensinger. Mr. Pike served in the USMC during WWII and the Korean War. He was a retired farmer. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 4:00 " 8:00 PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
