JAMES THURMAN PAINTER, SR age 69 of LaVergne died Thursday October 1, 2009. He was a native of Davidson County and the son of the late James Harmon, and Vera Gertrude Hegepath Painter. Mr. Painter was a member of Brunette Chapel Church of Christ. He was retired from Alexander-Shankle Construction. Funeral Service will be 1:00PM Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Mike Walters officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Painter; son James Thurman Painter, Jr.; sister, Carlene Wilburn all of LaVergne; brother, Charles Raymond (Lois) Painter of Antioch, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Wain Rogers, Jimmy Williams, Hank, Doyle, Charles, and Tom Brewer, Delbert Stockton, Lonnie Hunter, and Robert Riches.
