James Muhlig, III, age 93, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurance and Pauline Muhlig; and grandson, Jeremy Muhlig.

He is survived by his wife, Dot Muhlig; children, Jim Muhlig, Melissa Ridgill, and Karen Muhlig; grandchildren, Adam Muhlig and wife Ellie, Jay Lovell and wife Kristhel, Brian Muhlig, Ashley Aderholt and husband Jason, and Drew Lovell; nine great grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

James was a proud member and elder of Faith Presbyterian Church in Florence, South Carolina. He loved the Lord and faithfully shared the great news of salvation every chance he had. He was a graduate of Tennessee Tech University where he earned a bachelor's degree. He served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army and was an avid golfer. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and most importantly Child of God. We are thankful and at peace knowing he is at home with his Lord.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
