JAMES H. MR. JIM WATSON, age 80, of Smyrna, died June 18, 2012 at his home. Mr. Watson was a native of Davidson Co., and son of the late Everette D. and Bernadine McMeen Watson. Funeral services will be 1:00 Thursday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna with Rev. Dan Parker officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park with military honors. Mr. Watson is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie Watson; children, Jimmy (Lisa) Watson, Murfreesboro, Vickie (Dave) Pitts, Smyrna, Teresa (Michael) Davis, Murfreesboro, Cindy Watson, LaVergne, Judy (Terry) Sisco, Smyrna; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mr. Watson was a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served in Korea where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was retired from Purity Dairies where he was a route salesman for 30 years. He was also the retired owner of Watsons Kiddie Kampus day care center. He was a member of Tusculum Hills Baptist Church. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
