James "Jimbo" Mitchell, age 75, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018. A native of Smyrna, TN, he was preceded in death by his parents, John G. and Julie Weakley Mitchell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patti Mann Mitchell; sons, James Kelly Mitchell and his wife Cassie of Smyrna and John Kerry Mitchell of Smyrna, TN; brother, Johnny G. Mitchell Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren, Skyler Mitchell and his mother, Teri Mitchell, and Kaiden Mitchell; nephew, Jack Mitchell and his wife Sandy; and niece, Julie Allison and her husband Joey.

Mr. Mitchell was of the Presbyterian Faith. He was a 1961 graduate of Smyrna High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a retired Claims Manager with Grange Mutual Insurance Company. He loved playing golf and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Memorials in memory of Mr. Mitchell and be made to the US Military Vet Motorcycle Club Tennessee Chapter 7.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
