James McGregor , age 95 of Lascassas, TN, passed away Friday September 22, 2017. A native of Cannon County, he was the son of the late Eley and Martha Stembridge McGregor. Mr. McGregor was also preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Elisabeth Barrett McGregor who died February 14, 2017, a grandson Claye Maynard, a daughter, Bobbie Sue Dougan, and five siblings.

Mr. McGregor is survived by his daughters, Joyce Maynard and her husband Robert, and Janice Ralston and her husband Charles all of Murfreesboro, TN; grandson, Craig Maynard and his wife Jennifer of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Meghan, Ryan, Ella, Owen, and Colin Maynard.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jack Wood, and Rev. Frank Lipetri officiating. Burial will follow in Republican Grove Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mr. McGregor was a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II, and a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church. Mr. McGregor was also in the antique restoration business for many years.
