JAMES MONROE McCLAURINE age 84 of Murfreesboro, died Wenesday Febuary 9, 2011. A native of Pulaski, he was the son of the late Monroe and Charity Vassar. Mr. McClaurine is survived by his wife of 27 years Lavinia Scrimshaw McClaurine, son Brian Brown of Murfreesboro, niece Dorothy Jean Henry of Evanston, IL. He is preceded in death by a sister Martha Beatty. Mr. McClaurine fought in World War II having served in the Untied States Navy. Visitation will be Monday 12:00 noon until 1:15 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Graveside service will be 2:00 Monday at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Reverend Bob Bush will officiate.
