Obituary

James Matthew "Matt" Poynter, age 38 of Murfreesboro died Monday August 6, 2018. He was a native of Cincinnati, OH and was a professional Landscaper. Matt was an outstanding natural Baseball player. He loved to make people laugh with his jokes and quick wit.

Matt is survived by his parents, Stephen and Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Poynter; sister, Heather Dugan and husband Wes of Murfreesboro; nieces, Brooke, Taylor, McKenzie, whom he adored.

Celebration of Matt's life will be 1PM Monday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Visitation will be after 12Noon Monday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
