James Edward Manson James, Jr., age 70 of Bell Buckle, Tennessee died Tuesday, February 13, 2024. He was a native of Rutherford County, Tennessee and a son of the late James Edward Manson James, Sr. and Marcy Rider James.

Survivors include his siblings, Bill James and wife Donna of Bartlett, TN, Lucy Ellis of Bartlett, TN, and Camilla James of Port Orchard, Washington, as well as a host of other family and friends.

James was a private and introspective person who lived life on his own terms. He was an avid reader and collector of books. Following his father's passing in March of 2002, James became the companion and care giver for his mother until her passing in November of 2011.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of James may be made to the Shelbyville-Bedford County Public Library, 220 S. Jefferson St, Shelbyville, TN 37160.
