Mr. James “Jim” Robert Brink, age 68, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026. Born in Sylvania, Georgia he was the son of James and Betty Brink. He is preceded in death by his father James Armstrong Brink and his grandparents Edna and James Richardson and Sarah and Clark Brink.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Laura Brink; children, Ben (Charian) Brink, Forrest (Tiffaney) Brink, and Katie (Ryan) Hanes; grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Brink, Bella Ann Brink, Eli James Armstrong Brink, Elliot Wayne Brink, Oakley Ryan Hanes, and June Marie Hanes; siblings Michael (Janine) Brink, Steve (Bonnie Sue) Brink, Esther (Helga) Wallace, Christine Tenpenny, Marsia (Michael) Miller-Tate, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jim was a gentle, loving, and devoted husband who cherished his wife, Laura, and always made her feel loved and cared for. He was kindhearted, warm, and always had a smile on his face. Jim had a remarkable ability to put others before himself. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and never met a stranger. He was slow to take offense, choosing instead to extend grace and always take the high road.
Jim truly was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. He often said, “If I can’t do it, it can’t be done.” Whether it was a problem that needed solving or something that needed fixing, Jim could always be counted on to find a way.
More than husband and wife, Jim and Laura were best friends. Laura turned to Jim first whenever she had a problem, and somehow, he always seemed to have the right answer. He was her steady source of wisdom, comfort, and encouragement. Jim often reminded her to seek God’s will and direction, a reflection of the faith that guided his own life.
