JAMES W. HAYNES age 84 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Thursday April 29, 2010. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Willie Clarence and Liza Davis Haynes. Mr. Haynes is survived by wife of 46 years, Stella Todd Haynes; sons, Scott Haynes of Murfreesboro, TN, Philip (Page) Haynes of Christiana, TN; daughter, Allyson (Kevin) McCombs of Hayden, AL; grandchildren, Kiana Skyler Haynes, Calista Alani Haynes, and Shelby Elizabeth McCombs; sister, Maggie T. Gonzalez of Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by brothers, Charlie Joe, George, Tommy Lee, and Walter Haynes. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Harrell and Rev. Jerry Howard officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery. Mr. Haynes was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church where he served faithfully as Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. He was retired from Textron (Vought Aerostructures). Pallbearers will be Kevin McCombs, Scott Haynes, Philip Haynes, Ronnie Todd, Gene Earp, and Howard Harrell. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, Dr. Mark Mainwaring, and Dr. Wayne Murphy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church building fund in memory of Mr. Haynes.
