James Edward Harrell, Sr., age 83 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Saturday April 20, 2013. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Jesse James and Pauline Brandon Harrell. Mr. Harrell was married to the late Eva Pruy who died in 2008, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hollis. Mr. Harrell is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James E. "Jimmy" Jr., and Brenda Harrell; daughter, Marie Harrell; grandson, Kris Harrell and his wife Jessica; brothers and sisters-in- law, Raymond and Ann Harrell, Billy and Nancy Harrell all of Murfreesboro, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Wade Adams of Milton, TN; several nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery with full military honors. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Mr. Harrell was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, and was retired from the U.S. Army and Heatcraft. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Harrell.
