James Hargrove

Mr. James Herbert Hargrove, age 61, of Smyrna, TN passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026. He was born in Nashville, TN to the late Donald and Jo Boyce Hargrove. James worked in the printing industry in and around Nashville and Middle Tennessee for many years. He was an avid fisherman of both Percy Priest and Normandy Lakes going for what ever would bite. He had quite the green thumb growing flowers and succulents and maintaining immaculate grass in the yard. James enjoyed riding his Harley which led to working in the garage. He was an avid wood worker making bird houses, furniture, and decorative items for family and friends.

James is survived by his daughters, Lindsay Gordon and her husband Brad, Chasity Hawkins and her husband Marshall, and Cayla Jo Williams and her husband Quinn; grandchildren, Johanna, Tucker, Madison, Seth, Gentrie, Boone, Keaton, James Kalin, Trey, Greyson, Juliana, and Remy; great grandchild, Kingston James; sisters, Donna Gipson and her husband Joe and Kaye Simpson; and companion, Beth Uhrine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Wray.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 12:00noon until 2:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 2:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will follow in the Brown Family Cemetery in the Allisona Community.
