JAMES EDWIN GORDON, age 72, of Murfreesboro, Tn. died Thursday at National Health Care Center. He was born in Bedford County and was the son of the late James Frank Gordon and Maggie Rogers Gordon. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Brown and a son, Eric Gordon of Coffee County; sister, Madalyn Jernigan and her husband, James of Murfreesboro; and one grandchild. Graveside services 10 am Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery with James Carver officiating. Visitation with the family 4-8 pm Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mr. Gordon was a member of the Church of Christ, a retired Plummer with the Rutherford Board of Education and a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam Conflict.
