James Boyd Gannon, age 91, of Murfreesboro, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Leroy and Annie Helen Zumbro Gannon. He was also preceded in death by brother, Leroy Gannon, Jr, sisters, Fannie Bell Gannon, Mary Nell Arms, and Elizabeth Haynes. Funeral service will be 10:00am Tuesday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel. Pastor Ken Polk will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Men of the Charles Moore Sunday School Class will serve as pallbearers. He is survived by his wife, Nannie Ross Gannon, sons and daughters-in-law, James Ray and Sara Ann Gannon of Murfreesboro, Ronnie and Linda Gannon of Eagleville, sister, Kathleen Gilley of Murfreesboro, grandchildren, Jeremy (Catrynia) Gannon, Amanda Perssico, Kristi Gannon, great grandchildren, Ashlynn Perssico and Kendall Perssico. Mr. Gannon was a member of Northside Baptist Church, a retired carpenter with Charles T. Haynes and Farrer Brothers Construction Company, and a lifelong farmer.
