JAMES CLAUDE FOWLER age 81 of Smyrna, TN, died Monday October 19, 2009. A native of Jamestown, TN he was the son of the late Travis Henderson. and Blanche Tipton Fowler. Funeral services will be 10:00AM Friday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna with Bro. Wayne Cornwell officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors. He is survived by his wife, Joan Womack Fowler, sons, Ronnie Fowler of McMinnville, TN, Randy Fowler of Smyrna, TN, daughter, Tammy Grogan of Smyrna, TN, brothers, Billy and Jerry Fowler both of Muncie, IN, and T. H. Fowler of Jamestown, TN, sisters, Peggy Stephens, Mary Fowler, and Louise Skaggs all of Jamestown, TN, and Ruth Copley of Muncie, IN. Mr. Fowler is also survived by five grandchildren, Dale and Dylan Fowler, Evan Hutto, Hailey and Alexia Grogan. He was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Howard Fowler and by a sister Karen Wright. Mr. Fowler was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ and was a Senior MSGT with the US Air Force having served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.
