JAMES EARL ELROD, age 89, of Nashville died Saturday at St. Thomas. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late James M. & Callie Carter Elrod. He is survived by his nephews, Jimmy Elrod of Murfreesboro, Ben Elrod of Rockvale, Donnie Elrod of Woodbury and Randy Mingle of Murfreesboro. Graveside services 2 pm Monday at Mapleview Cemetery with Marion West officiating. Visitation with the family after 1 pm Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Mr. Elrod was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Elrod and his brothers and sister, Carter Elrod, Harry Elrod, W. T. Elrod, Enoch Jones and Mary Mingle.
