Obituary

James E. (Jim) Estes Jr. passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 after a short illness at the home of his parents. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10:00AM at Evergreen Cemetery. Brother Joe Pruitt and David King, family friends, will officiate. Jim was born at Amarillo Air Force Base, Texas May 3, 1957 to James E and Neita Shockney Estes. He grew up in Anchorage, AK, Sacramento, CA, Dover, DE, Nashville, TN and Camp Springs, MD before coming to Murfreesboro in 1971. He was a graduate of Riverdale High School. He married Angela Davenport of Murfreesboro and had one daughter Cheryl Diane Bolin. He is survived by four grandchildren, Blake Edward, Christina, Savannah and Matthew James. He is also survived by his parents; brother, Jay R. (Kim) Estes; Nancy (John) Center, a nephew, and nieces; Aunt and Uncle, Melba and Ray Shockney of Smyrna; Aunt Shirley Shockney, Aunt Jewel Hudson and Aunt Eula Shockley all of Nashville. Jim worked for the Heatcraft Co., and was a production superintendent for Rich Products Corp. The family is eternally grateful to Caris Hospice. Memorials may be made to Caris Healthcare (242 Heritage Park Drive Ste 101 Murfreesboro, TN 37129). Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
