JAMES KENT DYER age 68 of Smyrna died Tuesday October 13, 2009. A native of Logan, West Virginia he was the son of the late App and Iva Hale Dyer. Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna with Buddy Royston officiating. Burial will be at Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearer will be Ryan Spencer Moore. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Sally True Dyer, sons Jed (Cheri) Moore of Nashville, Steve Moore of R.I., Scott (Heather) Moore of GA., seven grandchildren Allison Moore, Raven Moore, Isabel Moore, Jaxon Moore, Conor Moore, Ryan Moore, Savannah Moore two sisters Sally Neff of OH., Annis York of W.V., special niece Kay Frances and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Dyer served in the U.S. Army and three tours in Vietnam. He attended Lavergne First United Methodist Church.
