James E. Craft, age 76, of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 25, 2014. A long-time resident of Milan, Indiana he was preceded in death by his parents, William and Addie Craft; three sisters, Ethel McConnell, Irene Statin, Morene Staton; and two brothers, Henry Craft and Arlie Craft . Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Rodney Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Mr. Craft is survived by his wife, Sharon Craft; daughter, Debbie Haxton and her husband Dave; and son, Doug Craft and his wife Dawn all of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Casey Craft and his wife Liz, Carrie McDonald and her husband William, Krysta Beck, Isabella Craft and Sarah Haxton; great-grandchildren, Isiah McDonald, Abbie McDonald, Zach McDonald, Aiden Beck, Mia Craft and Lane Craft; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Craft attended The Church @ Cross Point. He served proudly in the United States Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was retired from Jefferson Smurfitt as an Outside Sales Representative. Mr. Craft was an avid sports fan cheering for Indiana University Basketball and MTSU. He also coached and umpired ballgames for many years. Doug Craft, Dave Haxton, Casey Craft, John Haberthier, Bill Haberthier, William McDonald and Mel Basler will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
