James Gregory Bennett, age 69 of LaVergne died Saturday August 27, 2016. He was a native of El Paso TX and was the son of the late, James and Velma Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a Christian and retired TSA Lead Screener.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Bennett; children, Jeffrey Bennett and wife Tara of Chattanooga, Jason Bennett of LaVergne, Darla Love and husband Jim of LaVergne; grandchildren, Kathryn, Mason, Hayden, and Lauren.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday September 17, 2016 11:00AM till 1:00PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful people at Alive Hospice and Vanderbilt Hospital Oncology Department.
