James Robert Amos, age 55 of Murfreesboro died August 5, 2021. He was a native of East Moline, IL and was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Amos and Juliette Vansteenhuyez Amos.

Mr. Amos was a member and chairman of Deacons of Miracle Baptist Church in La Vergne. He was an active member of the Men's Ministry at Miracle Baptist Church. Mr. Amos had worked for Nissan in Smyrna over 29 years, and was a avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Angela Amos; children, Delaney Marie Amos, and boyfriend Ramson McRee, Elise Juliette Amos, Jacob Scott Amos; sister; Marcia Otto; nephew, Joe Covemaker; niece, Macaira Gellerstedt.
