James Adamson, age 87, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024. He was born in Scotland to the late Andrew and Violet Brown Adamson. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Isabel Gilfillan Adamson.

He is survived by his children, Keith Adamson, Sandra Hunt and her husband Chip, and Sheila Wilson; grandchildren, James Robert Adamson (Mindy), Evan Wilson, Andrew Hunt (Jacquelin), Katherine Kessler (Clay), Spencer Hunt; great grandson, Joshua Adamson; sister, Violet Bell; nephew, Billy Bell (Roberta); nephew and good friends, William and Christine Reilly; and loving dog, Duffy.

James and Isabel moved to the United States from Scotland in 1963. He spent many successful years working in the automotive industry. He also enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Traditions of Smyrna, Amedysis Home Health, and Gentiva Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

A private graveside will be held for the family.
