Jackolyn "Jackie" Edwards Piner , age 82 of Murfreesoro, TN, passed away Thursday May 18, 2017. A native of Red Oak, NC, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Alphonso Edwards and Nellie Bly Garner Edwards. Mrs. Piner was also preceded in death by a sister, Jenni Kelley.

Mrs. Piner is survived by her husband of 63 years, Clifton Lee Piner; sons, Rodney Piner and his wife Cathy of  Limestone, TN and Alan Piner and his wife Julie of Centerville, OH; daughter, Tina Jobe and her husband David of Murfreesboro, TN; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene Edwards and his wife Joan of Fayetteville, NC, Ron Edwards and his wife Ann of Richlands, NC, Marvin Edwards and his wife Molly of Pace, FL, and Tim Edwards and his wife Jean of New Bern, NC; sister, Gwendolyn Lentz and her husband John of Graham, NC.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Minister Ron Edwards and Minister David Bunting officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Piner was a member of Northfield Boulevard Church of Christ, and was a retired secretary with the Veterans Administration in Johnson City, TN.
