Jack E. Phillips, age 78, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away, Thursday, November 14, 2013. A native of Chicago, IL he was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Loretta McGrath Phillips. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Phillips Jr. Mr. Phillips is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Susan Lischer Phillips; son, Brian Phillips and his wife Becky of Smyrna; son, Scott Phillips and his wife Tiffiney of Murfreesboro; daughter, Valerie Jackson and her husband, Jerry of Flower Mound, TX; and son, Craig Phillips and his wife Cindy of Murfreesboro; sister, Barbara Metzl of Downers Grove, IL; six grandchildren, Ashley Harvey and her husband Allen, Andy Phillips, Paige Phillips, Chad Phillips, Cole Jackson and Campbell Jackson; and cousin, Ursula Smith. Mr. Phillips was of the Catholic faith. He was a plant manager with both Goodman Conveyor and Usco. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their gratitude for the staff at Adams Place for the love and care given to Mr. Phillips.
