JACK HILTON MASSEY, age 75 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Monday September 6, 2010 at his home. A native of Tullahoma, TN, he was the son of the late Pierce Hilton and Lois Elizabeth Gregory Massey. Mr. Massey is survived by a brother and sister in law, John A. and Ruby Massey of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Evelyn M. Beard of Murfreesboro, TN, Sue M. Smith of Nashville, TN, Theda Anne Massey of Murfreesboro, TN, Betty Jean M. Rankin and her husband Thomas of Birmingham, AL, and Gracie M. Sullivan and her husband Gerald of Murfreesboro, TN; 15 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Massey was a member of the Powells Chapel Baptist Church, a U.S. army veteran, and was retired from G. E. after 31 years. Mr. Massey was also preceded in death by brothers in law, Vernon Beard and James Smith. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Powells Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Mr. Massey.
