Jack Holbrook, age 74 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Thursday, January 19, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital from congestive heart failure. He was a native of the New Middleton Community of Smith County and son of the late Ralph D. and Ruth Bradford Holbrook. Mr. Holbrook was a Farmer and Auctioneer and owner of Jack Holbrook Auction Service. In 1994, he won first place in the TAA Bid Calling Contest and in 2000 he was inducted into the Tennessee Auctioneers Hall of Fame. Funeral service will be 1:00pm Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Charlie Bowman will officiate. Interment will be private. He is survived by his business partner and wife of 53 years, Peggy Pinson Holbrook, sons, Bobby Holbrook and his wife, Connie, David Holbrook and his wife Melissa, and Jimmy Holbrook all of Lascassas, brothers, Wayland, Joe, and Jerry Holbrook, two granddaughters, Ashley and Jennifer Holbrook.
