Jack Cantrell

Mr. Jack Leonard Cantrell, age 77, of Smyrna, TN passed away peacefully Monday, September 14, 2026 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Beaufort, SC to the late Frank and Audrey Mullins Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell was a 1966 graduate of Smyrna High School. He went on to proudly serve in the United States Marine Corps which reflected his patriotism for his country. Mr. Cantrell was an avid football fan of the Smyrna High School Bulldogs, UT Volunteers, and Tennessee Titans. He coached youth football for many years in Smyrna. Jack was the president of the Smyrna Golf Course’s Senior League as recently as a few years ago. He loved spending time with his family and church family at Parkway Baptist Church.

Mr. Cantrell is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gerry Cantrell; children, Jason Cantrell and his wife Amneris, Melissa Gannon and her husband Tyler, and Jon Cantrell; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Matthew, Callie, and Mac; great grandchildren, Adrian and Gavin; siblings, Mark Cantrell and his wife Laurie and Diane Jones; nieces and nephews, Amy, Greg, Rachel, Katie, Carolyn, and Jason; and faithful canine companion, Reagan.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 at 2:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
