J. FRED WADDELL age 88 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Saturday November 15, 2008. A native of Gainesboro, TN. he was the son of the late William Jackson and Helen Kelly Roberts Waddell. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Survived by wife, Frances McKnight, daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Tony Boyd, grandchildren, Brooks Cook and her husband Wesley, and Rebecca Boyd all of Murfreesboro, TN. Mr. Waddell was a member of Northfield Blvd. Church of Christ and retired from the Department of Revenue of the State of Tennessee. Mr. Waddell was also a WW II Army veteran, a shriner and member of the Al Menah Temple in Nashville. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Brown Waddell who died in 1997 and by a daughter, Diane Carol Waddell Mickey who died in 1985. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
