J. Carroll Frost, age 83, died Sunday, January 25, 2015. Mr. Frost was a native of Rockvale and was a son of the late Edgar Lee and Tempie Hall Frost. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude "Trudy" Jones Frost, who died August 26, 2013 and two brothers, Leon and Edwin Frost. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Wednesday at North Boulevard Church of Christ. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the church. Bro. Darryl Lewis and Bob Webb will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Frost is survived by his son, Steve Frost and his wife Brenda of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Beth Frost Walker and David Greer of Louisville, KY and Ruth Frost Qualls and her husband Chris of Emory, VA; brother, Nathan Frost and his wife Annie Jo of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Angel Frost Byrum of Mt. Juliet, Laura and Sarah Walker of Louisville, KY, Lydia Qualls of Nashville, and Madison Qualls of Emory, VA; and two great-grandchildren, Courtney and Steven Byrum. Mr. Frost saw the love of his life for the first time at Rockvale Church of Christ just before his freshman year at Rockvale High School and married Gertrude "Trudy" Jones. Mr. Frost served our country in the Army during the Korean War and was employed by State Farm Insurance Company for 39 years prior to his retirement. He was a member and elder of North Boulevard Church of Christ and worked in the community programs of the church including Meals on Wheels, MTCS, and on Sunday afternoons with his family would visit nursing homes and veteran's hospitals and have short services with the residents. He saw everyone worthy of love and was the perfect example of how to embrace life and those in it. He was a song leader at North Boulevard Church of Christ and led singing and at many gospel meetings throughout Rutherford County. His grandson and nephews will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Harrison, John Hodge Jones, Wendell Jones, Bob Farris, James Faulkner, Joe Reeves, Don Greever, Tom Hill, Bill Sloan, Joe Mayes, Dan Doss, Bobby Clark, Mike Gann, and Thurman Davis.
