Ivan Glenn Hoover, Sr. age 81 of Smyrna, TN, passed away Sunday February 8, 2015. A native of Manchester, TN, he was the son of the late James Thomas and Birdie Tolliver Hoover. He was also preceded by his wife, Ruby Thompson Hoover who died in 2008. Mr. Hoover is survived by his sons, Ivan "Vann" Glenn Hoover, Jr. of Smyrna, TN, and Tim Hoover of Auburntown, TN; daughters, Tanice Wilson of Nashville, TN, Kimberly Guiterrez of Winchester, TN, and Kristian Graves of Murfreesboro, TN; step-son, Wendell Almonrode of Murfreesboro, TN; step-daughter, Vicki Taylor of Auburntown, TN; eight grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; special close friend, Betty Heringlake of Woodbury, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 Pm to 8:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be held 9:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Brother Brent Wills officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Hoover was a member of Jerusalem Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and was a retired commercial refrigeration technician. Mr. Hoover also served in the Tennessee National Guard.
