Ival L. Bentley, age 87, of Smyrna, TN passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012. A native of Millstone, KY she was the daughter of the late Wibb and Betsy Mullins Collier. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel L. Bentley, two daughters, Vera Clement and Sandra Carter, six sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Smyrna. Brother Michael Pickford will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bentley is survived by her two sons, Samuel L. Bentley Jr. of Minneapolis, MN and David B. Bentley of Smyrna, TN; three sisters, Cora Mae Smith, Violet Dyer and Leona Cooper; five brothers, Marland Collier, Maland Collier, Ben Collier, Webbie Collier and Eugene Collier; twenty grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bentley was a member of Southside Church of Christ. She was a retired dispatcher with Sky Chefs. Her grandsons, Brandon Bentley, Paul Clement, Phillip Clement, Christopher Clement, Taylor Bentley and Hunter Davis will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Breast Cancer Society or to Alive Hospice.
