Ken Namba, age 90, of Oak Ridge, TN, currently residing in Assisted Living at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, TN died Thursday, January 29th, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was born in Dee, Oregon, and was a WWII Army veteran, MIS Div. He was the son of Seizaburo and Miyoshi Ashida Namba, who immigrated from Okayama, Japan in 1917. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years, Emily Brewer Namba from Sylacauga, Alabama. He is survived by daughter Sharon N. & Allan Steelman of Murfreesboro, TN; two grandsons from DFW, TX, Christopher Boyd and wife Shannan, their children Christian and Matthew; Ken Boyd and wife Nikki, their sons Dayton and Jackson; and granddaughter Kimberly Boyd Tenney, her daughter and son Lauren and Chase from Fairview, TN; brother Mark from Hood River, OR; sisters Mae Unno from LA, CA, Naomi Yagi from Sacramento, CA, and Lilly Ogawa from Sanger, CA; He graduated from both the University of Alabama and Auburn; a chemical engineer with ORNL in Oak Ridge, at K-25 in1952, also worked at X-10 and Y-12 before retiring in 1984.
