Irma Jean Coleman Davenport age 82 of Smyrna died June 4, 2011 at Adams Place. Mrs. Davenport is a native of Smyrna and daughter of the late David E. and Lillian Carter Coleman. She was also preceded in death by her husband Floyd Pete Davenport who died in 1995. Funeral service will be 4:00 PM Monday at Smyrna First United Methodist Church. Rev. David Lewis and Rev. Joe Elliott will officiate. Burial will be Mapleview Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 PM Monday until time of services. Mrs. Davenport is survived by a son Ed Davenport and his wife Kay of Smyrna; three daughters Sue Ellen Moore and her husband Ken of Dresden, Beth Ann Davenport of Alpharetta, GA, and Amy Jean Wise and her husband Rick of Smyrna; a brother William Coleman of Murfreesboro; seven grandchildren David and Drew Davenport, Amber Stephens, Steve and Coleman Wise, Myla Wise Murray, and Rebecca Moore; eight great-grandchildren Brie Anne, Lillie Brooke and Ainslee Rose Davenport, Ellie and Carter Stephens, Graison, Emma and Ethan Murray. Mrs. Davenport was a member of the Smyrna First United Methodist Church and was a retired Secretary for Smyrna Elementary and David Youree Schools. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
