Iris Maria Lugo Ruberte, age 72 of Smyrna, TN, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024. A native of Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Aurelio Lugo and Rosa Julia Ruberte Rivera.

Iris is survived by her husband, Jose Antonio Canela; daughters, Rosaidalia Feliciano and her husband Roberto of LaVergne, TN, Ivelisse Lugo of Smyrna, TN, and Normalis Guzman and her husband Luis of Murfreesboro, TN; grandson, Roberto David Muniz of Antioch, TN and nine others; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Nivaldo Marin and his wife Iris of Ft. Myers, FL and 12 others in Puerto Rico.

Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, May 3, 2024 and 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Roberto Muniz officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Iris was a member of the Arca Del Pacto Pentecostal Church and a homemaker.
