Imogene Oakley, age 86, of Smyrna, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. A native of Faxon, TN, she was a long-time resident of Paris, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Nezzie Vester; husband, J.W. Oakley; and her daughter, Phyllis Tubbs.

Mrs. Oakley is survived by her daughter, Paige Oakley of Smyrna; son, Michael Lee Oakley and his wife Sarah of Manchester, TN; grandchildren, Ashley St. John and her husband Benji of Manchester and Amy Hockensmith and her husband Scott of Smyrna; and great-grandchildren, George and Destiny St. John of Manchester and Addison and Montana Morton of Smyrna.

Mrs. Oakley was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting and making quilts. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. A graveside service will take place in Mapleview Cemetery on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Brother Dan Parker will officiate.
