Mrs. Ida Alvenna Morrison, age 85, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Monday, June 20, 2016. She was born in Luzerne County, PA to the late William Earl and Ida Alvenna Carey. Mrs. Morrison retired from the VA as a dietician and attended Third Baptist Church.

Mrs. Morrison is survived by her sons, John Dunkley and his wife Helen of Rexburg, ID, Scott Dunkley of CT, William Dunkley of Okinawa, Japan, Ernest Dunkley and his wife Mitzi of Murfreesboro, Joseph Dunkley and his wife Michiko of Murfreesboro, and Steven Dunkley and his wife Laura of Murfreesboro; daughters, Arlene Wase and her husband Gary of Rochester, NY and Virginia Jordan and her husband Bill of Columbia, TN; sisters, Bea Buczkowski, Julia Gibbs, and Mary Fox; brothers, George Carey, Frank Carey, Thomas Carey, and Robert Carey; 17 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Morrison.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
