Huijuk Choe, age 28, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed Friday, September 12, 2025, after a brave battle with liver cancer. She was born October 29, 1996, in Gwangju, South Korea, and was the beloved eldest daughter of Hyeongjin Choe and Jeonghui Bang. In addition to her parents, survivors include her younger brothers, Ingyu and Daniel.

Huijuk's early years in Gwangju were filled with the love and support of her devoted family. Her family's bond was a testament to the joy and unity that Huijuk brought into their lives as she always kept family first in her heart. As the only daughter in the family, she was a true friend to Jeonghui.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and spent seven years teaching high school math, a role in which she excelled not only as an educator but as a mentor and role model. Her classroom was a place of warmth, understanding, and inspiration. Even in her sickness, she was thinking of her students as well as her return to the classroom.

Outside of teaching, Huijuk found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid baker whose delicate pastries brought comfort and delight to family and community gatherings. A lover of nature, she spent many peaceful hours walking wooded trails, drawing strength and serenity from the world around her.

Huijuk will be remembered as loving, thoughtful, and selfless. Her presence brought light to every room, and her concern for others always came before her own needs. Her legacy is one of deep love, lasting impact, and quiet strength.
