Huey Marshall Matthews age 70 passed away Tuesday November 4, 2014. A native of Davidson County, he was the son of the late Henry and Louise Pardue Matthews. He is also preceded in death by four brothers; Robert Matthews, Clay Matthews, Joe Matthews, and Van Matthews. Funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna with Brother Buddy Jarrell officiating. Burial will be at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Matthews is survived by his wife of 51 years; Linda Matthews, daughters; Wendy Tompkins and her husband Ritchie of Rockvale, Marsha Southerland and her husband Michael of Smyrna, three brothers; Mac Matthews of Antioch, Charles Matthews, Doug Matthews and his wife Opal all of Smyrna, sister; Margaret Jarrell and her husband Jimmy of Pulaski, granddaughter; Mallory Southerland, and many in laws, nieces and nephews. Mr. Matthews was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Dr. Trilby Williams and Dr. Nancy Peacock for their loving professional care.
