Mr. Howard C. Tolbert, age 90, of Pontiac, MI passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017. He was born in Christiana, TN to the late Albert and Gladys Hutchinson Tolbert. Mr. Tolbert was a master carpenter. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and the Joiners of America. Mr. Tolbert proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Mr. Tolbert is survived by his sons, Kenneth Tolbert and Gerald Tolbert; sister, Sara Besselliou; grandchildren, Stacy Crump, Stephanie Horne, Jill Adkins, Kourtney Notestine, Catrina Tolbert, and Lisa Tolbert; and great-grandchildren, Cody and Aaron Crump, Bryce Horne, Ava and Gavin Adkins, Deacon and Kennedy Houle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Tolbert, and sons, Michael Tolbert and Stephen Tolbert.

Visitation with the family will take place Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
